Local 1102 RWDSU UFCW is a labor union affiliated with the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union District Council ("RWDSU" District Council) of the United Food and Commercial Workers ("UFCW"). The UFCW represents 1.4 million workers across the United States and Canada. Local 1102 was officially chartered in its present form in the late 1930's. Since then, the Union has grown substantially and today represents a diverse membership, administers comprehensive medical, dental and pension benefits and organizes workers across many different industries. Its offices are located at 1587 Stewart Avenue, Westbury, New York.Local 1102's primary function is to represent the needs of its members by fighting for fair treatment in the workplace, job security, quality health care, and a dignified retirement.
